Our ABR(Anti-Back-Reflection) unit is a proprietary technology independently developed by us specific for welding applications of high-reflection materials like copper, aluminium, etc.
The used CPS (Cladding Power Stripper) device used in the PhotonWeld-Pro optical module can effectively absorb the reflected light thru the cladding layer
while removing the residual pump light from the cladding layer to further protect the gain cavity of our laser source.
The cladding power stripper (CPS) is directly cooled by the heatpump cooling system.
How a Cladding Power Stripper Works?
A cladding power stripper is specifically engineered to remove residual light traveling within the fiber cladding. It achieves this by introducing controlled attenuation mechanisms that extract unwanted optical power while allowing the core signal to pass through with minimal loss.
The stripped optical energy is then safely dissipated as heat through an optimized thermal management structure. This process ensures that only the desired signal remains within the fiber core, improving overall system efficiency and protecting downstream optical devices.
Because the core signal remains unaffected, cladding power strippers provide highly efficient operation without compromising laser performance.
